What is love?

What is Love?

Is it the one that sweeps you off your feet when you’re not looking?
Or the one that disarms you,
let you loose,
free, unfettered, and unguarded?

Could it be the one that compels you to keep running back to the one who doesn’t want you?
Perhaps, it’s the one that makes you lower your standards!

By any chance, could it be the one that makes you stay “strong”, hide the scars and overlook the abuse?
Oh, I bet it’s the one that makes you lose yourself and live for the other!

What exactly is Love?

About this poem

Wrote this poem when I felt lost, when I sought love even in the darkest places.
