Emotional Poem about Sadness “Vincent”

Sadness creeps into my heart,
A heavy weight that won't depart,
Its tendrils wrap around my soul,
And leave me feeling far from whole.

The world around me feels so dark,
And in my mind there is no spark,
Of hope or joy or light or love,
Just sadness like a mourning dove.

My tears fall freely down my face,
As I try to find a happy place,
But all I see is pain and loss,
And at such times, what is the cost?

To feel so deeply, yet so alone,
To be trapped in a heart of stone,
Is there no balm to heal my wounds,
Or must I forever sing these tunes?

Of sadness and of melancholy,
Of heartache and of sorrow holy,
For in these feelings I find my voice,
And in my sadness, I make my choice.

To feel and grieve and mourn and cry,
Until someday, I can say goodbye,
To the sadness that once held me tight,
And embrace a world that's full of light.
