Simple and Free

I close my eyes to see a simpler time
What is happening now there is no reason or rhyme
The days of time past, living simple and free
To life now and all to be seen is greed
Oh! I wish I was back in the day
To somehow fix what is coming our way
My heart aches at all the pain and loss
For love and honor has become cross

About this poem

I wrote this poem because there is so much sadness in the world today. And I just wish I could fix it all.
