The Melding
Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)
We make love tattoos
across space and time
Between, our two hearts,
together as we lay
Make love and play
with each other’s parts
Look into each other’s eyes
and realize
After tonight,
we very well may never part
Our bodies primed,
we synchronize our oceans
Move our mountains,
phase our moons
Adjust our tides
just right
As we melt into each other’s
light and dark
Till we reach past our peaks
Climaxing in ways
beyond emotions
Freefalling,
as we catch ourselves…
mirror souls in echo emotion
While locomotive breathing
See sawing back and forth
wild and freely running
as we ebb and rise
laughing wildly...
on this tidal wave, we ride
While gazing intently
with fevered passion
Locked into each other’s eyes
Holding tight to one another
as if for dear life
Our kisses hot,
now bodies steaming
Seems like it’s never ending
We must be dreaming
With sweet ecstasy
we arc and spark
Fusing hearts
and melding minds
