The Witt’s of Genius

The Witt’s of Genius

The Witt Family Triplets were named Half, Dim, and Nit
Mom and Dad’s sense of humor befittingly fit
But the joke was on them as the boys had the plight
To grow up to be geniuses – each in his own right
Nit was the oldest by no more than a minute
He advanced String Theory, and enmeshed himself in it
Half came next; red-headed and cute
But his musical vector was far from hirsute
He developed a plectrum to shred on the bagpipe
Now his riffs are called caverns - and his fans his stalagmites
And last came Dim the perennial late-bloomer
His passion his flowers – his destiny - a perfumer
And we know that he crushed it – holiday sales have shown
Johnny Depp was the spokesman for his Witt’s End Cologne
All proving that genius-defined is subjective for sure
And birthday bashes at the WhitHouse – are a thing to endure
