Childhood
I was a child in a remote village,
Fifty years ago things were different altogether,
I loved my village surroundings, mango orchards and cultivated lands,
I could see far possible without hinderance,
Life was easy and simple.
Now I live in a metropolis,
Life here is difficult and complicated,
Still I live like a corpse,
I wish I could go back to my village and smell the fragrance of cultivated land and unpolluted air.
