When words come out like   long    slow      sluurrs

heavy with the weight of sleep

Bleary I love yous

f a d i n g

I am home

in this dream state

About this poem

I wrote this poem one night after groggily rolling over and seeing my lover asleep next to me. It's the feeling of the state between being awake and dreaming
