Loose Change
I wish i was not so easily replaceable,
Pushed to the side like a possession you would deem invaluable,
Like loose change or old CDS,
I am worth something but not enough, so it seems.
I wish I was the girl that you would fight for,
I wish my absence wasn’t necessary for you to realise my worth,
But you only care about loose change when all the banknotes have gone,
And maybe one day your eyes will perceive me as worthy and beautiful,
But when that time comes,
I won’t be around,
I wish to be graced with somebody else,
Someone who does not take things for granted.
