She Stood On The Edge

In the moonlit haze, she stood on the edge,
Her soul veiled in sorrow, emotions on edge.
As they rushed to intervene, pleading and distraught,
She gazed at the night sky, her mind deeply fraught.

The full moon's glow adorned the dark abyss,
Her heart's silent plea, a whispering wish.
Despite their cries, she took the leap, defying fear,
Into the unknown, her soul now set to steer.

In that moment suspended, time held its breath,
Her descent into darkness, a dance with death.
They witnessed her flight, a bittersweet ballet,
As she soared through the night, her soul on display.

With each passing second, regrets intertwined,
They yearned to rewind, to undo the mind.
Yet the moon remained, a somber witness above,
A silent companion in her journey thereof.

In the moonlit haze, her spirit found release,
In the stillness of night, she found her peace.
As they stood in sorrow, grappling with the pain,
Her leap under the moon, forever to remain.
