The Long Winding Road

It is a long winding road this thing we call life, it is full of sorrow, grief and pain but what others don't see is the strength we gain.
We walk through life with blinders on never knowing what is around the corner.
Some take the straight path but many take the crooked path.
We are in a hurry to constantly reach our destination but those who take the crooked path end up in mass destruction.
They say" life is what you make it" and I believe that to be true, but I also know life is a battlefield and it takes guts to push through the war zones of mind, body and soul.
The sun sets and we sleep, the sun rises and we defeat yet another day. The long winding road will make or break you, just make sure you take the right path.
