Ship Wreck
We drifted in a daze
Trapped in the stillness of our own thoughts
A silent storm raging
Over a sea of emotions
At the bottom: hearts lay broken
Like ships before us
My hand was still in yours
I fought till the last breath
Suffocated, with a drowning sensation
Fear often broke my dawn
But loves kiss, is dew
…and overdue
To soothe the scorched surfaces
Just make it to sunrise
If you could be with me in the dark
...heard in many whispers
Though, we were still making wishes on shooting stars
Hearts drawn in the sand are still empty
Love is the wave that set it free
Yet, can be just as deep as it is salty
…but a sunset; bittersweet
For those who brave the storm
For those, that ship’s never made it to the horizon
We find each other in the wreckage.
