Shark
Gliding through the darkness
Aware of all around
Every sense heightened
Not making a sound
Picking up a scent
Honing in on the prey
A sweep of the tail
Crossing the bay
No light is needed
Feeling an erratic beat
Heading that way
Ready to eat
Teeth so sharp
Mouth open wide
The target oblivious
Unable to hide
Upon the victim
So silent and fast
Consuming the flesh
Satiated at last
