True Friend

When God sent you to me
I was at my wits end
God truly blessed me
When you became my friend

You showed me how to love
And share how I feel
I never felt that I had to prove
What I said was real

You brought back my laughter
With your always ready smile
You did everything to keep  us together
You always walked the extra mile

You were always there
When I needed a shoulder to cry on
You wipe away my tears
And pushed me to go on
You never left when it got hard
You were always there to the end
You are an example of our Lord
By being a true friend.
