The girl of my dreams

Marco Arruda 2002 (Brazil)

I always look around in places you would fit
I know you're maybe out there
Somewhere, somewhere
Out of my reach

Oh this is for the girl
The one who changed it all
Came and took my world
This is for the girl of my dreams

You could be just hiding
Somewhere I wouldn't seek
Or you could be lying
When you said your words to me

You said that I would find you
In the right time, you see
But when could me more perfect
Than in my time of need

Oh this is for, this is for
The one who made me whole
This is for, the one who shut the screams
This for the girl of my dreams

As far as my life will go
I'll stay looking for you
In every corner of the streets
And every coffee shop I see

My lovely, lovely dream
Please don't let go of me
Ordering your coffee with whipped cream
I always see it when I sleep

Oh and this is for, this is for
The girl, of my dreams
And I really hope, I swear I do
I just wish you do exist

About this poem

I'm very shy, and to expose my thoughts through words is something I love. But I'm not very confident about showing then to other people, so here I am encouraging myself to do it. Hope you like it! (English is not my native language by the way, so sorry if there's too many mistakes)
