Watch Me Fall

Watch Me Fall by: Timothy Manroe Strong.

How do I make sense of all these, these broken pieces? How do I keep track of all these days and times? I think I just can’t think when I’ve lost my place here. While empty thoughts control my mind. There was a time when I knew for sure what love was. There was a time when life was kind. I had a future once before this happened. I had to watch it all unwind. How could you take her from me? I cannot breathe without her. I curse myself with each breath, yet I go on. Bury my heart with each day. Still, I keep dreaming of her. Please take these memories away, just let them fade. I am just a shadow of the, the man I could be. I am just a picture on the wall. You’ve taken my love from me, there’s no replacing my soul. Missing my heart, you all just watch me fall.

About this poem

This is a condensed version of a song from a rock opera that I wrote. I hope that someone feeling alone and hopeless reads it, and it let's them know that they are not alone. We are never alone we all feel helpless and broken sometimes. Just stay strong and fight you will find hope and happiness.
