The Bestowed Ones

THE BESTOWED ONE'S !

Grandparents are the favourite part of everyone's life
Their presence makes our life bright and delight
People call them 'aged' or 'old'
But their virtuous deeds are worth more than gold
Grandparents are special people with wisdom and pride
They always offer love and kindness, always there to guide
They somewhere make us feel special and strong
No matter what we do- right or wrong.
Beautiful and solid body withered with wrinkles
They are the ones who make our lives twinkle
They toiled to rear their children and to feed
Nevertheless, O God, bless them, for now their frames are weak
We are highly indebted to them
Our elders are akin to a rare gem!

About this poem

The soul purpose of writing this poem is to make the people realise the importance of grandparents in our life. In today's world we don't not take care of them or respect them which truly hurts me alot. So I am dedicating my poem to them.
