Wall
Trapped in an empty room
Well, it makes more sense if I call it a tomb
I hear the walls talking to me
Yelling. guess my mood turns to gloom
I yell back : everything I hear is false!
But my Words cannot convince the walls
How can a pale white wall understand me
If by a wall I meant an ignorant person all along
Destroying them a way I forbid
Walls don't deserve that, I confess!
And there'd be bricks falling on me
And that damn means endlessly I'd get hit
Changing them an impossible method
Walls are strong as the warmth of desert
Yet they lack the power of understanding
How can I expect myself not to get hurt
I mean what good is a protection when you can't even leave this room
See what's outside, choose your home
Grey is a lot worse than being blue
Getting killed or dying naturally
I don't care if it means dying happy
Dying with freedom tight in my hands
What good are wings for when you can't learn flyin'
What good is a shield when you
can't see what's in front of you
A flower or an arrow
The shield parries them both
Don't get me wrong I acknowledge my walls
They want to protect me at all costs
But an empty room needs an open door too
I don't want to die in this room, turning to dusts.
About this poem
This poem is about a person who is strictly restricting and restraining you from the freedom you deserve with the delusion to keep you safe. I prefer to die free than live trapped in a room with no door and only walls chaining me to boredom. freedom is such a blessing not everyone have.
