When a Soul Cries

it is critical
when your soul is in pain,
it can make a person
go deafeningly insane.
when our soul cries,
it fights our skin;
tries to break through,
but somehow we hold it in.
it makes you nauseous
in your gut.
but what we fail to understand is;
when a soul cries,
it cries the darkest red of blood.
