Silence The Accuser

Silence the Accuser

Tumble the strongholds of my mind
Scatter the shadows of my past
Silence the accuser
Break the shackles that help me fast

His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your innocence
You are free
You are free

Still the storm in my mind
Unlock the dungeon of my heart
Silence the accuser
Refute the lies that kept us apart

His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your innocence
You are free
You are free

End the torture of the accuser
Calm the discourse of my mind
Help me to forget
And leave the past behind

His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your innocence
You are free
You are free

About this poem

When I was 20 I was supernaturally, healed of depression. Silence The Accuser are the words to a song that I wrote as a testomony to that deep healing and the freedom that I have found. Sadly it is not possible to include the melody with the words on this forum (It does sound better as a song, than it reads as a poem!) . The words summarise a ten year journey. Again there is not the space to explain that journey or the remarkable, life changing experience that led me to write these words. But if anyone would like to get in touch with me then I would be happy to share my story. It is possible to be FREE - I am proof!
