Mother my first friend
Mother my refuge
Mother my strength

You gave up your luxuries for me
You sacrificed your fancies for me
You had sleepless nights caring for me
You surrounded me with your love

Live long to see my success
The fruits of your labour
I cannot repay you enough
Wherever you are may the Lord bless you
