You Are Not Alone

You Are Not Alone

The dark can feel so lonely
When trouble overwhelms me
The tears come down in oceans
Heavy as boulders down a mountain
Yet Your still small voice calls out
A silence that speaks my name
Telling me You are here now
With me you are not alone.

Problems punish and separate
My connection to Your love
Weakness lies I’m nothing
To a temporary situation
So when I go through Hell
It’s You who keeps me going
Your spirit pulls me to safety
And carries me forward relieved.

Arrows and bullets may come
As torment, misery and pain
Even sorrow aims to defeat me
Yet You are my best friend
The ally beyond expectations
Whose victory is mine already won
Assuring me You’ll never leave
With me you are not alone.
