I Saw a White Light

I saw a white light-when the crash happened-
the radio still echoing whispers
like a Person in my Head-
fighting for what’s right and what’s wrong-

The Voices suddenly stopped-
like someone clicked pause-
then everything went black-
it was darker than I’ve ever seen

Black like midnight- creeping all around me-
following me to every corner of this world
I tried to prepare myself for what was coming-
the cold already shivering down my back

Then I saw the light again- far way-
farther than I could ever reach
It lit up the area around me and I felt its warmth-
but then it disappeared-just as fast as it came.
