My hear beats

His eyes, a memory
so deep it disowns
 all the wounds I own
 all the lies and heartache
that has entered into this door
how stupid I was to believe
 all a man told
these memories hunt me no more
yet I remember the clenching pain
of being passed around like a toy

 I loved like a six-year-old boy
who loves his brand-new toy
 I would nature a man
 without receiving anything
just him walking out the door
 when he was satisfied
 from his stupid toy
I believed that love was strong
enough to keep two people
 together no matter the weather

 Love tortures soft souls
 molding our tears
 into a defensive wall
oh, love stay far off
from my door
oh, Lord! I thought when real love
finally welcomed its self to my door
I would easily love once more
yet now as I see my scars
 have scattered

This new man with eyes
 that pierce into my soul
hunts me twice a day or more
as I try to push away a sensation
that urges me to love like never before
I wish I could hold him and declare
 that I was once wounded
 by an undeserving mole
that till this day wants to break my bones
has he not done enough ?
making me so cold
and distant to those who loves my soul

No I need those eyes
to stare into mine once more
how they lay me bare
taking all of me with just a gaze
soaking me in while I show him the door
of my soul showing him all
that he yearns to know
for when he looked into my eyes
last night I wanted him to be mine
not just because of his eyes

But because I knew
 not everything was alright
in our lives, yet being with him
made me disown every feeling
that ever made me want to hide
a feeling of transforming
from a toy into a potential wife
love has always been my fight
so this time I choose to take flight
if he misses my eyes

Then just maybe I might be his future wife.
