Silent Killer

You took her away from me
On that rainy day
I never saw it coming
I just wanted to run away
One day we'll detect you
And rid of you in an instant
And when that day comes
So many will say I ditched it
But for now we go on fighting
To keep them all alive
Cancer is a killer
But we can fight to survive
I will help you through this
And always lend my ear
I will be here to hold you
So you'll never be in fear
Live everyday to the fullest
And enjoy it the best you can
Let's go take a challenge
Come on let's take that stand
You're the bravest person I know
Every day you smile and laugh
You live so calmly
As you put on that armor and hold your staph.

About this poem

I have lost many family members and some friends due to cancer. This is the reason for the title and poem.
