Just A Moment Longer
Donald James Kirby Von Koehler 1965 (Burien)
Just a moment longer
Life give us one more moment to cherish all that's real,
Love make us stronger to face the emotions we feel.
Dreams so full of laughter Fun the memories we share,
Truth learned with the wisdom of age & through despair.
Lessons that we learn are taught by the experiences we face,
Happiness comes by choice no outside force can create a trace.
Love comes first in yourself before you learn to give,
You attract to you by action the circumstances you live.
Just a moment longer One more smile before we go away,
One more chance to rise above the averageness of the day.
Just a moment longer For us to share the love that we feel,
One more smile one more kiss one more love surreal.
Adversity is the risk we face in every day Smile at it as we do.
The calamities and Ironies of our mistakes shine through.
Just a glimpse of hope is all we ask of the creator above,
That somehow it'll all make sense when we find our love.
Riddles are so many they keep us exploring all the clues,
trying to discover the many reasons for all our paid dues.
each day must be transcending the day we faced before,
In order to keep us on schedule with our destiny in store.
Just a moment longer to appreciate how far we've come,
Regrets are forgotten & all that's begotten of the sum.
Just a moment longer to express the thankfulness inside,
For all we have enjoyed and employed being along for the ride.
