something
everything 2004 (kingston)
Social media, what role does it play,
Among the massives, among the crowds,
Among the millions, billions and trillions,
or is it just a facade hiding the true meaning of two words,
Snap this, Snap that,
hashtag the man who just got dumped and slapped,
is it so common that we are always on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp?
So often, it can even be called the news,
highlighting the negative and positive stuff,
Full of drama, full of fun, my life, your life, his life, her life,
everyone knows that today were turning 21,
Is it about or usage or even about our addiction to puzzling depictions,
something so conducive but yet?
Are we socially aware, mentally prepared?
not talking about our love affairs,
potentially some of us are?
Changed by our buzzing phones and whatever that comes on our screens,
judging 24/7 on the decisions we make,
wrong choices just seem to be the end play,
with the corona virus pandemic that we are now in,
it sucks on our addiction Day out and night in,
yes, it gives us a voice online, to
converse, get to know each other, debate on a certain topic dozens of times over,
with this can we conclude something or is it just a vague misunderstanding,
communication between us happens every day, a photo, a song, a video,
can influence us to go along, political events and scandals just always the norm,
mislead information, degraded intuitions, changing cognitions, its all of the above.
