Mystery Lover

Mystery Lover

It is the witching hour. The stars muffled by clouds.
Peeking through – the moon beckons me somehow.
The iridescent light kisses the ground all around…
I lean against a tree watching the scene unfold before me.
Wishing my soul mate were with me. He is a ghost you see…
He lived many years before me… So long ago… I am told so.
A Voodoo witch Dr. in New Orleans took my hand one day.
He said there was a mistake, and my soul mate was sent away…
My dream was foretold… My wishes sold…
My soul mate was sent ahead of me… I got lost you see.
I came to be – 200 years too late I decree. How can that be?
At night while I sleep my spirit is free.
My spirit and a shadow embrace - why me”
That shadow is HE… My soul mate I cry…
To be held and feel the touch of a lover’s hand,
a caress, a kiss so bold – I sigh…
Why must my fate be foretold in such a sad way…
An empty bed and loneliness is the cost this day…
So, each night I curl up in bed nestled within
my blankets and pillows instead…
I pray for sleep to come quick so I can feel his lips…
The touch… The smell… of my lover who’s dead…
Tis this too much.
To love in such a way, will he be here one day”.
Only time will tell. My midnight love, a mystery.
I pray one day to lay in his arms…
To feel the arousing of his charms…
His warmth caressing my soul… It tis foretold…
My mystery lover, my soul mate.
I will love you forever. For you I shall wait...
I must bid thee Good Night for I have a mystery DATE.    ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
