Childless
I was born on sunday the eleventh
it was autumn the trees were still leafy
I imagine my mother puffing and gasp
for breath during the pain she was going through
My weight was seven and a half pounds
not really a lightweigth as you can see
mother was rather fragile not too tall
so what a immense job it must have been
Though everything worked out just fine
she survived it and I'm still alive
after me came another brother
and then there were six of us
She got three boys and three girls
nice throw I always did plead
funny how some women go for it
and others do not want one
I had once the wish in life
to have a child of my own
though it worked out different
and I'm happy with that now
Children would have turned my life
upside down and rather uneasy
so I made the best of it without
really quite suitable and happy
