Deadly cancer
Deadly cancer
It was diagnosed as deadly cancer
A disease now common but found with fewer
So much progress has been made in this direction
But patients suffer mental agony with medicine's reaction
Mother was not feeling well since many days
She may remain busy whole day and calmly stay
She knew very well that she is down with disease
confided me alone with condition not to disclose
I was elder in the family and realized the importance
There was no hope at all and she had bleak chance
I feared she may be with us few more days or months
Then may be taken over by cruel death
Females generally suffer more with such kind of diseases
The moment they marry their existence suddenly ceases
They are not only seized with lots of responsibility at home
But countered with numerous problems
I could clearly see worry lines on her face
But she won't allow any body to find its trace
She will be smiling all the time and remain cheerful
As if life was defeated and she was successful
Such was her dominating character
Sometimes she will make us to roar in laughter
Forgetting all the pains caused by incurable disease
She used to say “Life must be spent always at ease”
I will directly look in her eyes and try to find out
Why is she always trying to look and talk about?
She was funny too and played with small kids
Never failed in her duty to provide lead
She breathed her last with complete control
There was no panic or any kind of distress call
She called everybody near by her bed
Bade farewell after some hymns were heard
She closed her eyes slowly
left face with beautiful smile and happily
She was not defeated till the last
As the end came peacefully but very fast
