Depression

I'm tucking away whats true,
I just want to forget about you.
Whats tangible, nothing real,
My hurt, my pain, take what I feel.
Color is white, is black, is blind,
I wish that you'd get off my mind.
Lying in an empty bed,
I fear the nightmare in which I tread.
Fog so thick a knife couldn't slice,
I give my heart and soul to sacrifice.
Brushing the dampness from my brow,
Sweat beads? or Blood? What for art thou?
Im lying in an empty room,
Atleast I think so, I will not assume.
It's like I'm bawled up in my mothers womb,
Waiting for my legs to bloom.
Everytime I try to move,
Something over powers my every sleuth.
In the distance, I see a being,
Maybe not, Darkness murders' everying seeing.
Where for art thou is my savior?
God won't do me any favor.
It's up to me and I myself,
To save myself from pergitorial health.
I'm screaming at the top of my lungs,
But even I can't hear this foreign tongue.
Aidez moi, Au secors, Je me suis perdue,
I'm speaking a language I never knew.
Je regrette, Je regrette, Je suis de le danger,
Out from the darkness reaches a stranger.
He pulled me back into the light,
Took the darkness, and gave me sight.
His calming actions still speak to me,
When I let depression eat at me.

Chante Abbott

My name is Chante' Noel Abbott. I am 20 years old and a West Virginia girl. I have been writing poetry since I was 6 years old. I have more composition books filled with words than I can honestly handle. I have a 2 year old son who keeps me going each day. What can I say, between my love for him, and these West Virginia mountains, I have enough inspiration to last a life time. <3 more…
