mistaken eternity

reminders, reminders, keep ringing in my ears.
blank pictures of my decision i made that year.
emotional bankruptcy, i pay the price.
for being unfair and not very nice.

leaving behind a friend, tried and true.
not even given the chance to be brand new.
12 years invested now, in my feeling blue.
mistaken eternity we'll never be through.

i beg forgiveness and i ask the Lord why?
only answer i get, is i'll pay till i die.

about a young boy who never even rode a hearse.
and by our decision we live with this curse.
