Mother Rose
Age had bent her back, wrinkles filled her face,
Her voice had grown feeble, yet her presence exuded grace ~
In the mornings she was always there
Amongst flowers that looked happy & bright
To greet us with her loving smile
As we entered gates of the school that taught us all
"Loreto Convent Tara Hall."
That day she waived her hand at us
And her smile was extra bright ...
The flowers danced in the morning breeze
The kids became silent at her sight...
At the assembly we were surprised to learn
Mother Rose had passed away last night!
Whenever I am sad or lost
And shut my eyes for a while-
I know that all shall be well,
For I am always greeted by her smile.
And today in my heart I can feel...
She bid us farewell that day
Before she went forever away.
