On The Eve Of My Retirement

Exasperation to exhilaration
time for me to go--
need to get up outta Dodge, kid
curtain's fallin' on my show

New places, new faces,
big spaces by design--
reachin' for the brass ring, kid
gotta make it mine

A new divine destiny
unfolds before my eyes--
can't look back now
no "wherefores", no "whys"

Wanna make a grand leap
into the new frontier--
but there's a question in my head
how do I get there from here?

So much to ponder,
but restless mind be free
