Phoenix

Phoenix

All my hopes
Were flung in the fire
My whole life turned itself
Into a torturer pyre
I wonder if it was
The curse of the Sire
My glittering dreams
Like sapphire
They were also
Gutted in fire
All my wishes
Burnt to ashes
My Wishes turned ashes
Produced startling phoenix bird
With its swank flight
Stunned was the world
