Seasons of a Woman
To understand the woman at hand,
for she, with beauty grand and unending,
has you bending to her will,
seal the rage away and listen.
Like nature, she begins on a Spring day,
her young voice saying and singing
a wondrous moisture from all eyes,
cries of joy fill the air around her.
Sir, you know well the beauty that bloomed
as her grooming filled her out,
and you shouted Summer’s arrival,
rival, to you, to none.
Hold fast, heady one, for autumn comes
and brings the doldrums you should fear;
here are brightly colored leaves
that leave when the storm hits.
Winter will come in bits and pieces
and slowly ceases all action,
and none of your reactions will save
that which you gave your heart for.
Adore her while you can,
for a man can stand on memories
and forget the gory ends
and, upon that the story depends.
