Slipping Away
Two hearts that should be one,
somewhere, something left undone.
Feelings long ago were better,
now feels like a Dear John letter.
Where did things go wrong,
it's been so very long.
My sadness grows each day,
seems she's slipping away.
So much love in my heart,
wishing things could restart.
I long for her touch,
so little seems so much.
So, as it all seems to slip away,
I carry on from day to day.
