Why ?
Today as I enter this place in the clouds and look at the world below me
I was torn into pieces and thrown out of that world, the world I was destined to see
The world they all call Earth and the place where you live and die
To me it felt like a store down the street, cause I was just a passer-by
Now I sit among the angels on this heavenly field of grass
And I will tell you all my story and the day I breathed my last
For 20 years I lived down there and a glimpse of my future I could see
When I met the man I had always dreamed of and he asked if he could marry me
All seemed so beautiful as plans began to unfold
From the day we would walk down that isle to the day we would both grow old
But like they say after every bit of happiness comes a long phase of sadness
My life was turned upside down and my dreams were turned to ashes
The same day I would say those words and the day my life was to change
That was the day I was raped on that street as I lay there in shock and in pain
It was just another walk on that road and the evil in those beasts I could see
They did what a human could never have thought of.. things that took the breath out of me
I felt like an animal being thrown among wolves as they tore my body apart
No pain could compare to the beasts I had seen and that's what stopped my heart.
My dreams, my family and the man I would marry all gone away like a spark
I didn't get a chance to say good-bye and I left them all in the dark
People say you leave that world when you're old and you leave after saying that last good-bye
Me.... I left it when I was just 20 years old and I left it with a tear in my eye
This is my story, this is my fate... this is the moment I cry
For each tear that falls I ask the same question.. I ask the whole world .. WHY ?
