My Road of Life

My Road of Life
As a child I stood proud and chose my own ways
No discipline was given to show me right from wrong
Anything I did was all out of curiosity
Not afraid of anything or anyone
As time goes by so does my experiences
All changing to bigger and dangerous things
Being full of mischievousness or only plain wanting to know
Still unafraid of what would happen
I am a woman now and have experienced many things
Good, bad, dangerous, and unknown to many
I must change this way of life
I must chose a simpler life
I have no regrets of the choices made
But age has set in and weary bones tend to ache
Can I do one more thing that I will enjoy
Yes, Yes I can but maybe with a little less danger
Still no one to tell me that is impossible
Headstrong and loving life with all my soul

Victoria Lamphear

Not new to poetry but taken a break and have enjoyed life, I have entered a creative writing course and it has renewed my passion. Writing poetry and short stories have been my thing for as long as I can remember. Fiction and non-fiction. I have experienced some ghostly experiences in my life and will share them with you in poetry. Hope you all are mouths and eyes wide opened! Victoria more…
