Truth Defenders
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Living to witness truth,
Struggling on the field of battle.
Armored with truth.
Just to survive.
May seem a ridiculous position to take.
For those who remain loyal to honesty.
And unbroken steadfast faith.
Knowing it shown,
So many these days...
Submitting to deception.
And told lies to create.
More difficult it appears,
To the ones knowing.
And made very clear.
Living to defend truth,
May have left them physically alone.
With the presence of visual allies near.
But this too,
Has been a fiction to deceive reality.
Since...
Liars weaponized.
In beliefs,
Truth unseen can be defeated.
Easily.
Without the power,
Of man made weapons used.
And so...
This abusing destruction continues.
By those mindless and blinded,
Without a consciousness.
Or evidence of common sense to have.
Although...
Forward they move on assumptions.
That a truth spoken to hear it,
Can be easily defeated if ignored.
With a dismissing to hear it heard.
'Commander?'
'What is the problem now?'
'Something unexplainable is happening.
And our heros are abandoning,
Their weapons!'
'You tell them...
Under no circumstances,
Are they to take...
The same toilet and lunch breaks.
What on Earth is going on?
This is no time,
For anyone...
And I mean no one,
To decide yoga exercises or diet changes.
Will make a difference to our expectations.
Do you understand me?'
'Yes...
But,
How can I prevent the doing of truth?
It has surrounded us.'
'Put the leader of this nonsense,
On the phone.
Immediately. Do you hear me?'
'Yes. Yes.
I hear you clearly.
However...
Can you describe what it is,
I am to look for?'
'I don't believe this.
WHAT?
If...
What or whoever it is you fear,
Is dressed in a top hat and tails.
Dancing in a full sequined tuxedo.
That's the one I want to talk to.
AND NOW!
No one...
And I mean NO ONE.
Is going to ruin this expensive drama.
Geeessshhh.'
'But, sir?
It appears,
We are in a much different theater.
There is this dude,
On a hill not far away.
Barechested and sitting on a horse.
Waving and smiling at us.
Trust me.
This is not your average musical!'
'Listen.
Whatever the truth is,
Confront it and get rid of it.'
'With what?'
'HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO KNOW THAT?
IF ALL ELSE FAILS...
USE A MAGIC WAND!'
