WILTED

these roses bloom in agony
and leave a trail to eternity,
the kind of trail love would take
my feet against the luminescent petals
the thorns against my feet
nevertheless, I continue wandering
watch how my blood stains the world
as I move through this unending abyss!
my ignorance seems like a bliss
and my weary heart marvels
in the symphony of doom I'm getting into
but I find beauty in such sadness
and I know I'm beautifully fated
to such a place where
roses like me bloom everyday
only to die in the end
and the scent of death
tears love apart

About this poem

This poem was inspired by a graphic image I saw on Pinterest a while ago. Unfortunately, I can't attach it here but it was a deep image, portraying a trail of luminescent roses.
