Whispers of Eternity
In the quiet hours of the night, I ponder,
The fear of dying, a thought to squander.
It creeps upon me like a ghostly chill,
A haunting tremor, an echoing still.
What lies beyond this mortal coil's embrace?
The unknown path, the uncharted space,
Where dreams and memories in shadows fade,
And life's grand tapestry starts to degrade.
The heart within, it carries the weight,
Of the fleeting moments, the years of late.
Regrets and sorrows, joys and love,
All bundled in a fragile treasure trove.
I glimpse the stars, their distant, twinkling light,
And wonder if they hold secrets in the night.
Do they whisper tales of lives now past,
Or do they weep for dreams that didn't last?
Yet, in this fear, there's a poignant grace,
A call to savor life's tender embrace.
To cherish each moment, both near and far,
And let love be our guiding star.
For though the fear of dying may remain,
In our hearts, love's eternal flame.
It's in the tears shed and the laughter shared,
That we find solace in the knowledge we've cared.
So, as I face the shadows of eternity's door,
I'll gather life's fragments, its joys, and more.
And in the whispers of eternity, I'll find,
That love and memories forever bind.
