What is Crazy?

What is crazy?
What defines crazy?
What makes a person insane?
And what makes a person sane?

The word is thrown around like its game,
And no one in particular is to blame,
And there really is no line,
And most just resign.

Resign to the fact that it is what it is,
And no this isn’t a pop quiz.
I'm not here to belittle.
I'm here as someone who has been to a mental hospital.

A person who society has deemed a crazy
And lazy
And a mess.
A person people think of less and less

Because why put the effort in?
For crazy I have been,
And why if crazy is just crazy with no other outlook?
But it's really not simple like looking in a book

For a person who has been there and done that.
For a person who has just been looked at as just a stat.
For a person who has dealt with society and the system.
For someone who doesn’t have all the wisdom.

I can say that crazy isn’t simply crazy .
And trying to sit and part through the mess of it can make you go stir-crazy.
For thing are not just what they seem,
For people are not just as they seem.

They could be getting better or worse
They are complex and diverse,
In their mind and their heart.
It’s honestly an art.

So sit down and get to know someone before assuming
Instead of just presuming.
For a person assumed to be crazy
Can be in and out as beautiful as a daisy.
