The Color Red

The color red looked good on her she thought
Although saying that would leave everyone distraught
She loved the way it would look against her skin
And it ended her up in the loonie-bin

She loved to paint her skin red
Don’t do it others pled
But what could be so harmful about something so small
She though one more line, that's all

It was never one more
And her mind was at war
Because what could be so wrong with the color red
She thought with blade in hand as she bled
