One Last Kiss Goodnight

One Last Kiss Goodnight

Before you lay down tonight
Think on these truths and dream
I am huddled against dread and fright
The unknown of a troublesome scheme
An outcome out of my hands
Untold certainty beyond measure
Dark and black before...

Supernatural

Supernatural

Supernatural is you to me flesh and soul
As the Sun and rain nourish flowers
And roots with soil that touch the sky.

So delicate, beautiful and oh so strong
A forest of green greeting blue heaven
Breathing new life awakening...

I Know It When I Feel It

I Know It When I Feel It

I know it when I feel it
It stares me in the face
In the morning it comes over me
When you’re right here in this place
Rising up so tall
You lift me from a fall
Pieces once broken
Reveal love unspoken.

You raise...

Struck By Lightning

Struck By Lightning

Love at first sight, struck by lightning
I say your name out loud
As if speaking you into existence is
Magic just like you
Twinkling sparkles and dust
Meant to generate your body
Your face, your voice
And your soul...

Night Moves With You

Night Moves With You

Night moves with you
As does the stars across the universe
Every soft sensual piece of you
Orbits my celestial sky
Around and around
And all the way round
Consuming the circles of my mind
Spinning me in an elliptical...

Very simple and easy to identify metaphors of what love feels and looks like. I love it!

It amazes me how this poem speaks the truth about women we seldom know about or hear expressed. The real beauty of a woman comes from within. It’s kinda sad how most men don’t appreciate the inner part of a woman and just treat them so badly based on exterior designs. You inspire us men to see more and respect as well as cherish women as equals.

Interesting commentary on by pride: taking into account the most infamous example is both dating and compelling.

This poem reminds me so many times of how I stopped and took notice of the most simple form of beauty: a flower like a rose or a Lotus blossom. Every now and then the same feeling comes over me when I notice a beautiful woman. Even if I don’t know her name, there is something about her that shines beyond her physical beauty and reminds me that taking notice in itself is a very special moment like a miracle

Very descriptive poem. Aside from the metaphors I almost felt like I had hopped aboard a sinking ship.

yes you are correct. I wrote it because I hurt my girlfriend and when I recognized how deep her pain was I felt very badly and knew I had to make amends. This poem helped me focus my regret into an apology in poetic form. She has forgiven me and I will learn not to be so hurtful with my words again.
